of extreme poverty. This shameful situation must end. If we have the will to act
we can Make Poverty History.
This campaign calls world leaders to end poverty by ensuring more and better
aid, fair trade, debt relief, supporting governments, helping poor communties
keep their governments accountable and tackling climate change. We want them to
honour their commitments to the Millennium Development Goals, a global plan to
halve poverty by 2015.

Stop House from Passing Federal Animal Enterprise "Terrorist" Bill
Now that elections
are over, Congress will reconvene to finish up outstanding business. The
Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act, HR 4239, will be coming up for a vote
quickly—as it did when the Senate passed it right before the fall recess.
Please contact your U.S. Representative now, while he/she is still in your
district to oppose this bill!
Although the Senate passed this bill by unanimous consent—without debate or
hearings—we cannot let the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act slip through the
House of Representatives without putting up a struggle. Your vocal
opposition to this bill can make a difference!
