I'm A Damien Leith Fan
Winner of
Australian Idol 2006
Damien Leith is one fabulous, but
incredibly addictive singer/songwriter, so be very careful. Once you
hear him you want more and more. I have been seduced into listening to him
and watching The Winner's Journey every day! I don't even want to stop
getting my fix and in fact I was hanging out for his new album which was said to
contain loads of his own songs. I'd heard Bigger Plan, These Days,
Come To Me, Sky & Song For Jarvis so I knew he was about
to blow us all out of the water but he's surpassed my expectations.
This is the perfect blend of tracks for his first album with original songs
on it. Damien has just begun. Once established we'll hear the
full range of his songwriting ability along with the pure magic of his voice
and arrangements. Songwriting is high on his agenda and he's already
got some European performers interested in some heavier and more
"alternative' songs that wouldn't fit this first album.
I cannot wait to see what he does next. Another single is expected out
very soon.

"Australian Idol winner Damien
Leith has signed a book deal with HarperCollins for his debut novel to be
released this year.
Leith, who wrote the fictional
story before he won Idol last year, now has a chance to top the music and book
sales charts in the same year.
Leith said the first prints of his
novel were due for general release in October."

Damien sang Peter Allen's "Tenterfield Saddler" on the evening of his
Australian Citizenship ceremony. Just beautiful!
